I love family gatherings! In my opinion, they are by far the best thing to do on a weekend. (Does that mean I am getting old??? I digress...)
This past weekend we got together with my Mom's side of the family. It was a rare treat to get to have almost the entire family together. One of my Mom's brother's, Uncle Tom, lives in Washington state. Uncle Tom & his wife Judy came for a visit. And the best part is, Tom & Judy's daughter (my cousin Christi) came with her family too. Christi & Paul have 2 little girls, Alex - 7 yrs old & Megan - 4 yrs old. It was so nice to get to see our kids playing together. The last time we were all together was in 2004 when my Granddad passed away. Even then, Olivia & Megan were both little babies and Alex stayed home with her other grandparents. But you would never know they were just introduced to each other, all of the kids got along famously! That was so great to see! We had an excellent time. A very delicious lunch courtesy of my Dad kickin butt on the grill! And swimming for the kiddos, horse shoes, washers, & golf for the adults.
all of the great-grandkids minus Andrew because he was napping

and of course a silly face picture
Doesn't Rachel look scared & like she is running away. This is because all of the kids yelled when I said make a silly face! :)
Sassy Cassie & her model pose
Nathan telling me he was "Born to do Cannon Balls" hahaha!
Rachel loved the rubber snakes on the deck enough to eat them evidently
my favorite niece & me (I can still say this because my 2nd niece is still in utero)
Megan - she loved the pool
Rachel enjoying the kiddie pool
and then she passed out for the count in Daddy's arms
