Santa Came to Our House - He Really Did

aaaaah Christmas. there really is nothing quite like it. it's magical. i know that is corny, but it is. i don't want to lose sight of how truly blessed we are.

that big jolly guy did, in fact, come to our house. see...

but before he came, we took our traditional Christmas Eve pictures. and these girls are getting so big.

so, anyway, santa did come. and there were some pretty excited girls.

this right here, was the hit of the day. a dry erase board for them to hang in their room. seriously...cost me next to nothing. for real, the wrapping paper cost more than the gift. they were so excited.

they wasted no time putting it to good use.

we also went to Jar's mom & dad's house Christmas day. here are the only pictures i took there. the girls were completely over pictures by that point. i wonder why? (i uploaded 257 pictures to my computer)

the girls were both very happy. like super happy. kept telling us that it was the best Christmas ever. jar & I have to agree. we are so blessed. i went to bed feeling so utterly relaxed and calm. Christmas brings anxiety. i always worry - i hope everyone likes what they receive. i hope the girls are happy. i hope Jar is happy.

well this year, i learned that a literal piece of trash made my children ecstatic. it isn't the amount of money you spend. the gifts aren't even the real reason for the season, we all know that.

family. faith. memories.

it always seems to take forever to get here, then it is over in a flash.
