what's going on

we are back into the swing of school days. it's coming pretty easy & so far i'm pretty excited about it. the girls both seem to be enjoying school, making new friends. it's an exciting time.

 

the bus is still going good. each morning we play "i spy" & walk on the balance beam while waiting for the bus to come.

 

 

i have been writing little notes on their sandwich bags each day. they haven't asked me to stop. and they always laugh about what i write.

we spent some time at grandma's this weekend. and we soaked up this devilishly handsome little boy. i can't believe he will be 3 months old tomorrow. seems crazy. he's still so little but it seems like he has always been here. can't remember life without that little guy.

all of a sudden fall is upon us. and with that is harvest. busy time for my farmer/grain hauler. the girls & i were anxiously awaiting his arrival home from work monday night.

 

 

weight watchers is going really good for me. i'm feeling motivated & happy. i started a blog to journal my weight loss. as of now, it is private because there are some #s on there i am not quite ready to share with the world. maybe one of these days i will share it. but for now, just typing it all out is a bit therapeutic and makes me accountable.

summer update

nothing in particular going on that is super exciting for us. just enjoying the summer.

 

it's been exhausting really...even liv thinks so. she dozes off in the car all the time.

 

and enjoying the simple pleasures in life - such as wendy's frosty waffle cones

 

i got to FaceTime with my favorite girls the other day while I was at work. that certainly brightened my day.

 

we've all been spending time loving on this devilishly handsome man.

 

quiet nights at home on our lonely not often traveled country road. enjoying the sounds of silence - or crickets chirping & coyotes howling.

 

we had a sleepover with the biggest cousin

 

we have eaten delicious pumpkin blossoms

 

and we have been enjoying man's best friend, or in this case girl's best friend.

 

hard to believe school starts 1 month from friday.

i took the girls to see Monsters University as part of our summer bucket list on friday night. we also had dairy queen icecream for dinner - so we checked 2 things off in 1 night.

 

 

we all 3 loved it.

 

then saturday morning, Rachey & I headed to the nail salon for my pedicure.

 

she also got her toenails painted.

 

then we already know Sunday night just happened to be the best night of my life.

monday while i was recovering from my NKOTB hangover, i took the girls to the beach. where Olivia & I crossed swimming out to the buoys off of the summer bucket list.

 

then Tuesday, there was a face-painter at daycare. the girls really enjoyed that.
