summer fun

summer is in full swing. 

between thunderstorms the past few days, and sizzling hot temps - we are in full on summer mode now. last year we couldn't buy a drop of rain. within the past week we have gotten about 5 or 6 inches of rain. oh and some hail. can't go without hail.

it hailed monday evening - pea sized. i was able to pick some up to show rachel, but olivia was fuh-reaking out about the storm sirens going off so she wouldn't come near the door. the tornado warning a few weeks ago scarred her for life. who would have thought being woken & taken down to the dark basement during a power outage would frighten the girl? we are expecting more rain & storms today. so it's all around fantastic.

but in the midst of these storms, we have been squeezing in some fun in the sun. like grandma's pool. it's pretty fun. these pictures are from sunday after we all visited baby Britton.

 

 

olivia digged being up on grandpa's shoulders. but she would purposely jump or dive off rather quickly. so i didn't get as many pictures of her.

 

 

now rachel, on the other hand, she would have stayed up all day. she was dancing, as you can see. and grandpa was eating it up, clearly.

 

oh this summer. we are going to have fun. we are still planning out our summer bucket list. and planning out what we are going to do. hopefully friday night we will be able to scratch off a couple of items - ice cream for dinner & going to a movie. so convenient the theater is next to dairy queen.
